What is B Corp?

Yogi’s purpose aligns with B Corp’s: to make business a force for good. For us, this means that every cup of tea you brew contributes to agricultural regeneration, sustainability, and social responsibility at a local, national, and global scale.

B Corp prospects are evaluated in five impact areas: governance, workers, community, environment, and customers. This process includes an onsite audit and a 250-question assessment in which a company must score a minimum of 80 points in order to receive certification.

B Corp Month

B Corp Month is the annual celebration of Certified B Corporations around the world. Every year in March, B Corps address the positive impact they have on their stakeholders – workers, customers, the community, and the environment. This year’s motto of B Corp Month is Progress. Because B Corp Certification isn’t a destination. It’s an invitation to join the journey to better business. Our Certification

Our Eugene, Oregon facilities are no stranger to B Corp Certification, maintaining excellent scores since 2014—but our 2023 score was a personal best: a whopping 129.3 points! And over the years, we’ve picked up several accolades:

2023 was also the first year our entire company – including our European offices in Germany and factory in Italy received B Corp certification, respectively earning 117.6 and 108.5 points. These numbers make us extremely proud—but they’re not the point; the impact behind these results is what it’s all about. We pore over every surface of our packaging, improving recyclability and reducing weight to lower our transit carbon footprint. We visit farms all over the world to understand farmers’ challenges and co-create solutions with them. We monitor our factories’ energy usage and waste production, chasing down every last improvement to work in harmony with and respect for nature. We care for our own workers, providing world-class benefits and promoting work-life balance.
